Air passengers in UK are paying the highest, most extortionate taxes on flying. A study was conducted by UHY Hacker Young, the national accountancy group to provide a keen outlook on this subject which is been considered damaging on various level for many industries ultimately affecting UK citizens.<\/p>\n
The currently imposed Air Passenger Duty (ADP) on short haul flights is \u00a313 and for long haul flights is \u00a371 on leaving from airports in England and Wales except Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n
UHY Hacker Young said, \u201cThe global average, based on countries where aviation taxes are imposed, is currently \u00a315 ($23) on short haul flights and \u00a335 ($53) on long haul flights. Many countries, however, do not currently impose any taxes on individual air passengers.\u201d<\/p>\n
