Suppose you are to fly from Gatwick to some destination for a few days and you have reserved your flight and got the choice seat that you always prefer. Your luggage for a week long vacation is packed and you are all set to go. On the day of your departure you drive your car to the airport with hitting any traffic and go directly to the airport parking lot, park your car there and march to your terminal with your luggage. It can be a bit tiring with luggage but who care! You probably are too excited for your vacation to notice any fatigue at this point. You get to the departure lounge, clear security, wait for the announcement and board the plan. Have a lot of fun on your vacation and fly back to Gatwick, clear customs realize that your luggage size now is too much to drag and walk all the way back to the lot when combined with the jet lag. Takes you twice the time to get to your car only to fine it buried in ice or with a few minor dent that you notice alright and you find yourself cussing the money you paid for on-site parking cause you thought that its official and close to the terminal. Think again…!
